MYANMAR NATIONAL AIRLINES RELIEF FLIGHTS

During Covid-19 pandemic period, Myanmar National Airlines is operating the relief flights in coordination with the Central Committee for Prevention, Control and Treatment of Covid-19 and embassies in order to facilitate the transportation of the country, medical transportation of diagnostic equipment and prophylactic equipment, and to bring back Myanmar Citizens home.

May 2020 - Myanmar National Airlines operated Singapore relief flights 6 times, Bangkok relief flight 1 time, New Delhi relief flight 1 time, Chennai relief flight 1 time, and Gaya relief flight 1 time. With a total of 10 relief flights, Myanmar National Airlines transported 1,395 passengers and carried 48,469 Kg of cargo weight in May.

June 2020 – Operated Singapore relief flight 3 times, Bangkok relief flight 1 time, and Hong Kong relief flight 1 time. 667 Passengers were transported and the airlines carried 32,216 Kg of cargo weight on 5 relief flights that operated in June.

July 2020 – Operated Singapore relief flight 3 times, and Bangkok relief flight 1 time. The 4 relief flights in July transported 784 passengers and carried 25,404 Kg of cargo weight.

August 2020 – Operated Singapore relief flight 4 times, Bangkok relief flights 2 times, Hong Kong relief flight 1 time, New Delhi relief flight 1 time, Sydney relief flight 1 time, and Manila relief flight 1 time. Myanmar National Airlines transported a total of 1,993 passengers and carried 16,944 Kg of cargo weight in August with 10 relief flights.

September 2020 – Operated Incheon relief flight 1 time and transported 145 passengers.

Myanmar National Airlines is very proud to be able to involve in supporting of country’s transportation in this pandemic period. Up to this day, Myanmar National Airlines operated 30 relief flights with the passenger count of 4,984 and cargo weight 123,033 Kg, bringing back Myanmar Citizens and assisting in transportation of other nationals to their respective countries. Myanmar National Airlines is strictly following the precautionary measures in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sport, Myanmar, to ensure the safety and security of the passengers.
